The Agency for Education have recently completed a total rebrand of St John’s School in Billericay Essex. St John’s is co-educational independent day school founded in 1928 with a long and proud history by offering their pupils a blend of academic excellence in a caring environment. The aim of St John’s is to nurture happy, individual achievers and the school is loved by both their parents and pupils.
We always visit a school to get under their skin and discover why it is special. This is so that we can produce materials that truly reflect the character of the school. Sometimes this can be a challenge, but in St John’s case, it was simple – it shone through from the minute that we stepped through the door. When we walked around, everywhere we looked we could see smiling faces – it was really touching! The dedicated staff exuded an enthusiasm and passion for not only getting the academic results from the pupils but to ensure that they were genuinely happy – a tough balancing act.
St John’s really is one big happy family and had achieved the perfect balancing act of happy children and excellent academic results. The approach that we developed was the most powerful way to describe the school – the pupils, parents and teachers told in their owns words why the school was special. There was no shortage of material – it was a tough choice to select just the testimonials needed for the Junior and Senior Prospectus.
The scope of work undertaken for St John’s included: a marketing strategy, new logo; junior and senior prospectus; postcode targeted mailshot to over 10000 homes; photography; advertising, posters and recommendations for the redevelopment of the website.
